Updates from families who have adopted are the reward for a job well done. You can find Dexter's story in older posts. Karen his new dog mom is totally smitten with the boy. Sounds like Dexter is doing wonderfully.
"Yesterday Dex had a great day. We went to Salem Center, and he practiced not barking at strangers. He did great! He's doing so much better when he's out in public. He's still pretty barky here at home where he's protecting his turf, but he's doing great when he's out and about on a leash. After Salem Center we drove to the coast. He ran all over the beach and into the ocean. He threw little rocks in the air and chased them. He dug in the sand. He pretty much frisked and ran around like it was the best day ever. :-) Oh, and he met strangers without barking. Good day! Karen"
