Lake Shedd

A foster dog named Bingo and Eddie dug the pond in these photos last winter. It is now known as Lake Shedd. After many days of rain we went out to the front half of the acre to play during a break in the rain showers. I say play but really meant SPLASH!

Bud (well his tail anyway), Betty, Bonzie, Sky, Erin, and Tess are pictured above.

Erin and Sky had a case of the zoomies.

Even ol' Bud joined in the fun.

And lastly Erin totally soaked as usual. She actually barks while carrying toys in her mouth.

How to ring in the new year

Sky knows how to spend a restful afternoon.

Fleck's found a home too

Our Catahoula mix Fleck, has home of his own now too. A warm dog loving family is what I found when I went for Stephanie's home visit earlier this week. They were totally thrilled with everything about Fleck. He is learning their routines fast and had a rude awakening that he can't walk on water. He headed right into their ground level swimming pool to fetch his tennis ball. Splash he went! He started swimming and calmly looked towards his new human for instruction on how to get out. Wish I had a picture of that. Fleck a great dog and is missed here by all.

A surprise for us all

Eddie ready to ride and one of his puppy pictures.

Earlier this week I took Eddie and Betty Betty to the vet to see a orthopedic specialist for their on going hip/arthritis issues. The staff at the clinic was very impressed by Eddie's temperament and the fact he's such a beautiful Border Collie. Another vet at the clinic had been searching for the perfect companion. So after a wonderful introduction with the family of five in Corvallis, Eddie has a new home.

I already miss the big guy here, but know his new family will love and care for him in every way. Thank you Dr. Candace and good luck Eddie.
