What to do on a fall afternoon

Eddie is a fetching fool. He will go till I give up tossing. Ed is so devoted to the game he will put the item to toss right in your hand. When that doesn't work he tosses it as you as these photos show. For a dog with bad hips he rarely shows discomfort. I keep watch on how much activity he gets a day so he doesn't over due. He takes supplements to help his joints and I keep pain meds on hand if he shows discomfort. Eddie is available for adoption. Not likely to happen though as most folks want a Border Collie to hike and bike with. A home for Eddie would need to be understanding dog owners willing to spend the little extra for his pills. His prognosis with guidance from a vet could be years of pain free companionship by just restricting excessive repetitive movements. It's a lot to ask of adoptees, but Eddie is worth it.
