Honey is a very affectionate girl, but pretty shy at first. When she warms up to someone they can’t help but fall in love with her. She is definitely submissive and looks to people for support. She walks great on leash. She is really stressed here in the kennel and is not eating well, she ahs already lost 4 pounds since 10/25 when she came in. She has gotten along with other dogs here and the women who surrendered her said she did well with cats and recommended placing her in a home with them. While she didn’t live in a home with children she was around children 4 and 6 who visited on a regular basis. She was a totally outdoor dog and slept in the barn in that home. They brought her in because she was barking and chasing the llamas and bit one of the cows on the ear (imagine a BC doing that LOL). She did very well on her behavior assessment, and has reinforced that assessment in her interaction w/ staff and volunteers since. I am sure she will thrive in a home with someone who loves and understands BC energy and behaviors.
